Second Annual Earth Day Celebration on Opening DayAPRIL 24TH 8 am - 3 pm
Workshops:
*9:30: Land Conservation with Norm Eggert, Regional Partnership Conservationist; North Quabbin Regional Landscape Partnership
10:00 - Alternative Energy - Solar and Wind with Gerry Palano, Mass Department of Agriculture Energy Initiative Find out the how's and why's of going solar from application to rebates and more.
10:45 - Composting 101 with (to be announced)
11:30 - Greening Up Your Business with Emily Kanter, Sustainable Leadership Program, Cambridge & Somerville Program Director. Find out how to be a more environmentally aware business owner.
In addition to the workshops there will be a contest for the biggest bag of "Road Rubbish" (that is trash you've picked up from the side of the road), give aways and a chance to make your own seedling pots from recycled newspaper.
You can also pick up your veggie, flower and herb seedlings, bat houses composting bins and seed packets. Come for the fun stay for the awareness and the music after!

Head to the farm for opening day! See the new store, purchase your seedlings for the garden. Participate in workshops on alternative energy to learn about government incentives to going solar. Listen to some great acoustic music from Folk, to Bluegrass and contemporary music.
